Conventional
Machining |

We offer
a range of conventional machining and metalwork services
primarily for secondary operations on our main CNC based
production. Conventional machining services are as detailed
below.

Milling |
|
|
Conventional
milling can be carried out on the Bridgeport which offers
a 1200mm x 700mm machining bed and a z axis of 400mm.
|
Turning |
|
|
Conventional
turning can be carried on a Colchester lathe with a chucking
capacity of 400mmØ and 2000mm between centres.
|
Presswork |
|
|
We operate
a small 20 ton press suited to pressing mild steel upto 3mm
thick. We maintain a small library of press tools and are
capable of machining new tools for specific applications.
We are
also happy to take on board clients existing tooling, however,
all presswork is in support of primary machining services
and not a dedicated service in its own right.

Wireforming |
|
|
Wire forming,
including bar bending and tube manipulation can be carried
out on the press. We undertake wire work on bar and tube
up to 8mmØ.
|
Tube
Threading |
|
|
We also have a dedicated pipe/tube thread cutting machine
for 12mm to 100mm diameter threads.
|
Metalwork |
|
|
General
metalwork services offered include sawing, drilling, tapping,
linishing, grinding and deburring.
