Dawn Fire Ltd, based in Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire offer CNC machining, milling and turning, services to the engineering, manufacturing and electronics industries specialising in fire protection & security to a UK market.

CNC Machining

We offer CNC machining services to customer specification including CNC milling and CNC Turning in most materials including steel, brass, aluminium and plastics for both large and small batches.

CNC Turning

With 3 CNC lathes, two with bar feed, we are ideally suited to both small to medium volume production work typically of 20 to 500 off although we consider any volume up to 10,000 off. Our maximum chucking capacity is 255mmØ. Areas of expertise include brass turning for the fire industry as well as thread rolling for worms.

CNC Milling

We offer CNC milling up to 800mm x 250mm x 250mm with expertise in pocketing and form milling in materials such as aluminium and brass.

Conventional Machining

Conventional machining is generally reserved in support of our primary CNC machining and fabrication services although for special contracts conventional machining can be offered as a service. Capacity includes milling up to 1200mm x 700mm x 400mm and turning upto 400mmØ and 2000mm between centres. Other services include presswork up to 20 tonnes, wireforming and tube threading.
Assembly

As a complimentary service we offer inhouse assembly of machined components including pressurised nitrogen gas cylinder filling, valve manufacture and caster assemblies. Assembly can include both parts machined inhouse as well as outsourced components such as knobs, chains and standard spring clips.

Production Management

We operate a well established in-house written production management system that allows for integrated job management, billing, materials, sub-contracting and parts management. This also allows us to provide clear job reports as required in a printable format.

Estimating

A key strength which is integrated into our production management system is our estimating package that allows for quick estimates and quotations to be prepared, often within a few hours. These estimates are printable and can be faxed or e-mailed, and stay within the system for easy future reference.

Quality

Quality is important to us. We ensure that each and every machined part leaves the factory exactly to specification and operate a fully documented quality management system under the ISO quality management scheme accredited by QC Systems.

Delivery

We offer a local delivery service in our company van for loads upto 750kg. For urgent parcels upto 25kg that require urgent transport we use TNT and for larger pallets upto 1 ton we use a 1-3 day service from Road Knight.

Opposite Wooburn park you will see Spade Oak Construction Company and a row of cottages, then turn into Wooburn Industrial Park/Soho Mills Industrial Estate. Proceed down the lane, over 3 speed humps then turn right in front of Tevo Vehicle Racking Systems, Dawn Fire is the first unit on the corner of the left hand building.
